Here is a situation regarding the U visa. The U visa holder needs to apply for U visa for her parents and a sibling. The law states that the only way to do that is if the U visa petitioner was under 21 at the time of application. In this particular case, the U visa holder was over 21 at the time of application and what Im wondering if there is any waiver or any way for her to apply for her parents to obtain the U visa as well. She has bee an unfortunate victim of violence and is now paralyzed and definitely needs her parents near her. If you have any information regarding this please share. I appreciate your time.
