I'm currently waiting for my HIB visa application to be processed. My job begins in late August but I hope to travel to the states in late June to set up my apartment. Does anyone know whether it would be possible for me:
(a.) to enter the states as a tourist in June, having already received my H1-B visa in London, then re-enter with H1-B status in mid-August (within 10 days of the job start date). Would I be able to re-enter from Canada or would I need to do a round-trip to the UK and back?
(b.) to visit the states as a tourist in June, then return to the UK to get my HIB visa in late July, before re-entering the states in mid-August?
