Is it safe to travel to Greece on green card?

What is the process? How much does the visa cost?

Give search on Google to find countries which do not require visa for US GC holders. ( e.g Switzerland)
While most of European countries do not need Visa for US Citizens, GC holders may need Chengzhen visa.

Visa-free travel for Green Card Holders

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For your reference, I have compiled a list of countries (regions) that grant visa-free travel rights to US permanent residents regradless of their nationalities. Now we Indians and Chineses have some places to go!

On a separate note: I read reports of some tension between Greece and Turkey over activities in Algean Sea, so you might want to check on general security there for now a days.

You need a Schengen visa. It shouldn't be too hard. The visa costs about $80. By the way, Switzerland is now part of the Schengen zone, and they don't exempt GC holders anymore.

I used GC to travel to Greece. I needed visa though.

As to how to apply for Schengen visa, google Greece embassy, and you will find the document lists and application process.
