Does anyone know how long the wait is to receive a travel doc?

Just wondering what the average wait has been lately, or if anyone who filed around the same time as I have had received one.

Some people have received it in 2 weeks, some people in 28 days (me! ) some in 2 months.

My brother-in-law's wedding is on October 20 of this year. Do you think we have a shot?

A very CLOSE shot that would be, but you never know. Make sure you have a refundable plane ticket just in case

It's just a 45 minute drive across the US-Canadian border so no worries about the refundable plane ticket

I'm confused on when I count 60 days from- is it from the received date on my receipts? That would be 60 days from 7-27 which is Sept 24

From the Receipt Date.

OK, The date on my receipts are Received 7-27 and Notice Date 8-31, when I check online it says

On August 17, 2007, we received this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case

So which date is the one to go by?

I apologize for sounding ignorant, I am SO confused with all of this stuff.

Yes, count from 7-27.
