TN visa degree requirement.

I have a degree in Informatics (BS) from a US college and a graduate degree in Computer Engineering from an institution in Germany. I got a job as a "computer engineer" in the us. Will the computer engineering degree from the German institution suffice since it's an engineering degree or will I have to get one in North America?

german degree will suffice. You will need to get equivalency done of course. 'Engineer' is the most likely category you will be going with on your TN application
