TN Status - Start date wording

My TN employer letter of support has the start date wording as "upon approval of TN status, for a period not exceeding three years".

The point here is that they did not want to put a hard start date in the letter before TN approval is granted.
Will this pose problems at the POE if there is no exact start date in the letter?

I currently reside in the US already on a different non-immigrant status so I would be able to start working as soon as I showed my employer the proof of TN status granted.
 
It shouldn't despite what you may read. The offcial TN checklist that the CBP usues does not require astrt date, just the proper duartion limit. I have always suggested no statrt date, and no one has come back to complain.
