1. In May 2007, USCIS reported that about 30,000 documentarily qualified (pre-adjudicated) 485s were pending due to visa number unavailability, waiting for approval or visa numbers.

2. In June 2007, Ombudsman reported that about 40,000 documentarily qualified (pre-adjudicated) 485s were pending due to visa number unavailability, waiting for approval or visa numbers. This 40,000 pending cases include the cases whose PD is not current as of June 2007 visa bulletin. If we exclude those cases, there may be eligible 485s to get approved in June may be about 30,000. It is definitely less than 40,000. In the same report, he mentioned that about 40,000 visa numbers get wasted, if they do not move the date considerably.

3. Yesterday, DOS/USCIS informed that USCIS has approved 60,000 485 in June alone.

4. Fragomen website informed that that, in last day of June alone they approved 18,000 485s. That made total tally is 60,000 approvals in June.

5. No one has reported yet their 485 approval as on last date of June.

6. Now big question? Where does the additional 20,000 485s come from? If they have only 30,000 pending 485s as of June, how come they approved 60,000 485s in June?

7. So confusing… No transparent system

If they are capable of approving 60,000 in a month, why were they just approving 8000 per month since last October? Were they playing solitaire 7 hours a day? And why did they let 11000 green cards go unused in FY2006?

Jackolantern: Your signature is really funny but I must say true representation of USCIS work ethics and style:)
