I am waiting J1 waiver. My case is pending in the DOS now, but my visa expire today. I would like to stay in USA during 30 days grace period. I heard I can apply for the extension of the grace period to BCIS. I would appreciate if you let me know more detail information. What kind of form should I use? How long can I extend the grace period? How can I contact the BCIS? How long will it take the process?
By the way, I am wondering if I can apply for an H1 during the grace period.
