July 6, 2006

Despite the White House backing
away from the Senate's Comprehensive
Immigration Reform Act, nine
Republican Congressmen have
introduced the SKIL bill in the
House of Representatives.

The bill would raise the H-1B cap
to 115,000, the EB cap to 290,000
and would except spouses and children
from the cap. This would effectively
eliminate the backlogs in all of the
EB categories except for unskilled
workers.

Mr. Shusterman will talk about this
significant new development on the
following radio stations around the
country this Saturday at 1:00pm, PT: KPFK
in Los Angeles (90.7 FM); KPFK
in Santa Barbara (98.7 FM); KPFA
in Berkeley (94.1 FM); KPFT in
Houston (90.1 FM); WBAI in New
York City (99.5 FM) and WPFW in
Washington, D.C. (89.1 FM).

Hi moroni ,

I saw too that update there , few days ago , but i think that this will be a good think for everybody , at least for a while until the backlog is reduced !!!
Also we don't know if it's gonna be aproved soon , they don't look to have any intension on this for now !!! Will see what's happening during the next days , but i still think that will take some time like allways !!!

We just keep hope for the best !!! Maibe GOD will open their minds and come up with something good !!!

Doubt anything will happen!!

This is an election year. I doubt anything will come out of this because these provisions are likely going to be shouted down by the anti-immigration folks.
