TD extension application delay

My last TN status & my wife TD was valid till Oct 2007 , This year i changed my company & got new TN in June 07, but i applied for my wife's TD extension ( I-539) in July 07(after one month), we have got acknowledgment but still waiting for decision.

My worry is about the period when i got my new TN for new employer , but did not apply for her extension (however her old TD extension was valid during that period & is still is till Oct 15, 07),

Was she out of status during that month?

your wife was in status as long as she had a non-expired TD and you had a valid TN. The TD doesn't have to be changed even though the TN might be transfered from one company to another.

Hi Riaz,

what type of supporting documents you sent whey applied by mail for your wife. I'm in process of sending I-539 for TD renewal for my wife, she is not canadian citizen, and wondering should I send her original passport with documents.
please reply.
