I saw in this thread that guys who applied 485 in 2004 are getting FPs

Maybe but note that:

a) these appear to be from the California Service Center (CSC)
b) the CSC might have it's own pilot programs
c) didn't read enough to see if these are employment based -- e.g. at the Texas SC, the family based 485's are being handled in just several months afaik

Not much sign that this is happening yet at the VSC for employment-based 485's...
