Hi All,
I need urgent input from you all gurus.
I was a student till last September and then joined a company who started my H1B process. In October, I decided to join PhD program back at the schooll and asked my employer to withdraw my H1 application.
Here is the problem:
Employer delayed in sending withdrawal letter and in the mean time my H1 got approved eliminating my student status. However, the withdrawal letter is now at the USCIS. Now I am not sure whether my H1 is cacelled or it is still valid. The status on USCIS does say that my H1 is valid.
If H1 is cancelled then I have been on out of status without my knowledge. My school does not want to register for new Quarter because they think that I am on out of status.
Please let me know what are my options.
