"Stairway to Heaven" - Save a Lady Whose Husband Passed Away During AOS !!

Emails sent to both senators, via the forms.

My version is probably a little too emotional, because I am a woman. Only a couple of months ago, a friend, who grew up with me and had been always like a big brother, died in an car accident. I know how tough it is to his wife and two kids, even though they don't need to worry about green cards.

Subject: Please help Mrs Aram Arumugam !!

Dear Senator,

As a member of ImmigrationaPortal, I would like to request your
attention to Mrs. Aram Arumugam's situation. Please help her out
by initiating a private bill for the approval of her green card.

Mrs. Aram Arumugam filed her I-485 application on 9/26/2001
with her husband through his employment. Unfortunately, her
husband who was the primary applicant passed away in February
2004, so her I-485 application is no longer valid.

Everyone who knows her story thinks she deserves to stay in the
U.S. and gets her green card approved. Both her husband and
herself have worked and paid taxes for many years in this
country. And if it was not that the immigration process in
California center is so tremendously delayed, she would have
obtained her green card long time ago.

Losing husband is already sad and unfortunate, especially for a
woman at such young age. Having to leave this country at this
point would make her life even tougher. And it is unfair to her. I
don't think such thing is expected to happen in this country.

Dear Senator, please help Mrs. Aram Arumugam out! We count on you!

I just read this thread. I'll be faxing it from my office first thing monday morning.
This is not just unjust, its ridiculous! People of this forum Must take action.

I am not from CA but did send the emails. Don't know if they pick up emails from NY or not. May God provide courage to Mrs. Aram Arumugam.
Please keep sending the emails. Hopefully the senators will act.

Emails

Wish that someone sponsors her. May be if a big news media publicizes this nonsense during election year things might be taken up seriously and given attention.

wac : Very nicely written, I sent the same email with some modifications.

Kashmir I appreciate your efforts in driving this. I wish we could start an e-mail drive to ask the senators to change some of the immigration rules so that we dont have to request private bills for such events. I am sure for every one who is brave enough to voice their case, there are many others who quietly resign themselves to INS' vagaries and return back to their home countries. We need to make sure that people are treated with diginity and not have to make public their grevious stories to get immigration benefits.

I'd like to add one more information.
She filed her I-485 application at not CSC but TSC although she was in California.
Please post your message here to encourage others to join us !!

emailed

I just emailed the request to both the Senators Dianne Feinstein
and Barbara Boxer.

Thank you Kashmir for your great initiative.

I have updated to her and Rajiv this weekend, and here is her words ...
... Thanks to al those wonderful souls who spend some time to send emails/faxes to senators! ...
Let's keep sending our letters to Senators until a Private Bill being introduced.
Unless we can save only one lady, we would not be able to win against the U.S. Goverment at the I-485 Letigation or our campaigns.
Let's make them listen to our voices !!

I don't usually participate in these campaigns, but I felt that this was a valid reason to be a part of it and just sent emails even though I am not a resident of CA.
