Hi,
The 140 & 485 applications were filed jointly for my spouse and I. I received a receipt number for my I-140 which is currently pending. The application was received by Texas service centre on Aug 7, 2007. Now, should my spouse also receive a receipt number? And should we be receiving seperate RNs for our 485s?

I am in a similar situation. I recieved all my receipt notices (I am the primary applicant), but my wife has not received anything yet

I just talked to my attorney. I-140 applications are filed for primary applicants only, not spouses. So, your wife will not receive an RN for 140. I am not sure about 485s.

I-140 is for primary so you will get only one RN number but you will get 2 RN for I485 one for your wife and one for yourself
and if you applied for AP and EAD you will get RN for them too for both you and your wife
