Sponsoring parents for green card

Parents

Citizens can sponsor parents for GCs as immediate relatives and this is fairly quick. GC holders cannot sponsor parents for GCs at all.

Jim,

I am a US Citizen and filed for my parents (130 & 485) in June 2001 in Denver. My parents are still here and we are anxious to hear from the INS.

- Do Local processing offices send application receipts for this process?
- In general how long does this process take ?
- Will my parents do their FP and interview the same day or is it staggered ?

HELP !!!
