Sponsor Sister for green card.

Hi folks,
My wife currently has a US citizenship. She wants to sponsor her sister for green card(she is currently in India). What is the procedure for doing this. I have come to know it takes 12 years to get a GC under this category. Please let me know of the procedures to be followed. What would be the first steps.

Have your wife file an I130 for her sister with her service center. Then the long wait starts till her priority date becomes current.

If her mother or father are willing to do it, it might be faster for her to sponsor one of her parents and then the parent sponsor her sister (if her sister is not married yet)
