Security Check

Any body knows that what they check during security check?
My I-140 had sent for this check .this information i got when my
attorney had contacted the INS 2 days back.MY I-140 is held
in INS-neberska for the last 7 months .first it was RFE &now it is
security check?what does it mean?where they check?how much time it
takes ?any information please post it.THanx in advance

HAve you received a notice from INS that your case had been approved but they sent it to an appellate body for review?

i didnt get any notice.when my attorney contacted Ins
to check the status ,they told that it has gone for
security check.
