RFI and RFE

What do you receive for RFI and RFE ? Could you give actual examples please.
Also, I have lost my national passport. I just have copies. Will USCIS ask for my national passport? What do I need to do, I've lost it.

RFI - Request for Initial evidence. examples; bio and medical.
RFE - Request for Additional evidence. examples: a range of things, from an expired medical to questions about recent travel to request of NP to nunc pro tunc asylum for derivatives. Never know.
However, it is not very common that they ask for a national passport. If that should arise, you may send a letter explaining that it was lost, as well as copies of it. Furthermore, I have heard of people filing police reports just as proof that the NP was lost; as well as, the home country consulate where people wanted to renew NPs have requested that a report be filed in the home country. Like a police report, which obviously if you are here you cannot file, or by way of newspaper ad.
