I am preparing my N400.
The resident since date on my green card is about 2 1/2 years prior to the date my I485 was approved. Going by either of the two dates I have been a permanent resident for more than 5 years. N400 asks for the date you became a permanent resident. I am wondering if I should just follow the instructions and use the date on my green card or should I use the date my I485 was approved ? Given that I meet the 5 year requirement either way does it matter which date I used on N400 ?
