I need some more insight if someone had a similar situation before.
I'm in a removal proceedings from an asylum application, and I got married and applied for I-130 and I-485 with USCIS. I-130 got approved but the I-485 got administrative closure. Before my master hearing, the case was administratively closed with the court pending I-130. Now I have 2 pathways, first one is to request termination of removal proceeding so USCIS can adjudicate I-485. Second one is to apply for I-485 with court.
My questions are, what's the pros and cons of each pathway? Do I have to pay the filing fees of I-485 again? Which pathway is faster? Which pathway is more secure, as I can't lose employment authorization even for sometime? Can I have another interview with my wife in either pathway? Has anyone navigate through this without a lawyer?
