question regarding FPing early

Hello Folks,

I recently applied for N-400 and here are the details:

RD/PD: 11/24/03
ND:12/01/03
FP: 12/27/03
NSC - Chicago

Since I am scheduled to FP during the hols, I was wondering if I could schedule my FP earlier as I am away on vacation...but unfortunately, there is no phone # in the FP notice for my FP location (INS Pulaski). Has anyone done this before......?

Can I just walk in maybe 1 week early and get it done?

How long is it taking these days from start to interview & oath date for folks in Chicago?

You can walk in early and get your FPs.
Usually it should not be a problem unless your local office is fully booked. My wife went 4 days early and got her FPs . When you go in early and request them in a polite manner and explain your situation, they usually oblige.

We are from mid-atlantic (Vermont Center-Pittsburgh/Charleston). So do not know about Chicago times.
