We applied for B2-Visa extension (parents) on June 5th at CSC.The website states it takes 2.5 months. Our I-96 is valid until Aug 25th. We submitted the original I-94 along with form I-539. We received the receipt I-797 form.
Now can we leave the country without the original I-94?( we have some emergency issues to be take care back home) Will it cause issues in future ? Will the airline allow us to travel ? we have the copy of I-94 and also I-797 that proves that we have filed for extension.
Anybody has any inputs on this?
