this semester i took 5 cr hrs of graduate courses since it is my last semester (normal full-time requirement is 9 hrs)
but i might get an F in the courses(due to health problems) and if so then i have been told that i will have to tranfer to another school for the next semester, where i will have to take approx 20 Cr hrs more to complete my degree since not all the credits from my last school can be tranfered to the new school.

hence How will the semester with 5 cr hrs affect my F-1 status from here on since the next semester is again going to be full time?
what should i do?
Is there anyone i should notify in the INS?

Please suggest

A student is allowed to take less than the full load, but might need to inform the international students advisor regarding this. He/she should be able to tell you what needs to be done. As long as the second school issues a new I-20, it should not be a problem to continue your studies.
