Hello,
I'm a DV-2011 winner and I applied as a single but I got married to US citizen before my interview day. My interview was today and I don't feel comfortable with it.
I went alone to the interview with all the required documents and the CO said 'everything seems ok and clear' but it's better you apply thru your wife b/c u got the citizenship in 3 years instead of 5 years and since you insisted to continue with your dv case, we have to review your case again! He returned my passport to me and gave me a blue paper with 'AP notice' and told me we'll contact you soon.
I remember I told him applying for an IR visa is a lengthy process and with the DV I'm almost in but he replied 'yes, I know but this is the law and the law sucks!'
Is there a law to prohibit issuing DV visas to US citizen spouse?
