Pursing TN Visa application - under Management Consultant [Need guidance]

Hi everyone,

I was referred to post here for guidance and tips. I've recently received a formal offer (Contract) for 18 months from a New York based Consulting company. In this role, I would be consulting ONE of there end-clients. The initial position was to be completely remote 100%, so we had agreed to a C2C role in which I would not have to come into the end-clients office. However, the dynamics have shifted and the end-client is insisting on having a Consultant present during certain dates for meetings and consulting ceremonies.

In terms of my experience, I have over 5 years of the minimum experience in this field and domain. I however do not have a degree/education in this field. I was essentially put into this role after spending half a decade at a top 5 bank in Toronto, one thing led to another and I transitioned into consulting as a contractor for other banks and fintech companies. I have 8 years of FTE experience to show for it, RoE, Employment Verification letters and also 5 Contracts from Canada for the various consulting roles I've held, totalling for over 5 years as well.

The consulting company in the U.S.A. has encouraged me to go with an Immigration lawyer based out of Buffalo, NY and they will be paying for this whole process.

However even then, I am not too confident in this being a success story.

I can show my Record of employment, contracts, EVL's and also the Contract from U.S.A and a Job offer letter that meets the requirements of Management Consultant (duties and day to day role tasks included). What else should I be including?

Are there any success stories of individuals who have had success strictly based off of work experience and not degree? if so, what was asked? what worked?

Pursuing a TN Visa under the Management Consultant category involves a specific set of guidelines and requirements. As a management consultant, you must possess either a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualifications in your field. Additionally, you should have a detailed offer of employment or contract from a U.S. company outlining the scope of your work, duration, and terms of the consultancy. It's crucial to demonstrate that your role is temporary and that you don't intend to stay indefinitely in the U.S. When applying, you need to provide proof of your qualifications, employment contract, and a letter from your employer detailing your role and the need for your consultancy. It's advisable to consult with an immigration attorney or a specialist in TN Visas to ensure that all documentation is correctly prepared and that your application meets all the specific criteria for a Management Consultant under the TN Visa program. Remember, the TN Visa is part of the NAFTA agreement, so it's only available to citizens of Canada and Mexico.
