Here is the scenerio:
I worked for company A in 2005 on CPT and they owe me money for that period. I got my H1 approved with company B and I am with them since then.
In 2006, I filed a lawsuit against company A to get the old monies and currently we are on a settlement in which they agreed to pay some money to me.
My question is: Since my H1B is with company B, can I get paid from company A and won't be in trouble from INS?
