Passport Stamping?

Hello Gurus,

I really need help here.Last month on April 7 my wife and i went to the local office in NYC to do I 89 which is GC ordering form. with approval notice that we obtained through Congressional office.(We never received approval notice from USCIS) We did index fingerprints ,signature and gave two photos that goes on the GC.As they told us it is a new procedure that they were not stamping PP anymore and told us that we will receive the cards in the mail shortly.It has been almost 2 months we haven’t received any welcome notice,approval notice or cards.Waiting is so frustrated so I got an Info pass appointment for next week.Do you guys think that if we go with the same approval notices can we get our PP stamped.We are so close to the end but is not happening
Waiting is so unbeareble and paintful.please share your ideas and experience

I will suggest that u should go and talk to the person at the counter. take the notice with you. He will check your status in his computer. Specifically ask him the date when ur 485 was approved .. this will tell u that he does have ur status as approved on his computer. Then tell him that u need to travel in coming two weeks and its urgent. He should not deny ur passport stamping. The Notice that u got .. does it have ur recipt number, notice date and priority date on it?. I went for passport stamping and just told them that I need to travel and the actual gard might take another month or two. so she did stamp my passport

Fyi, we went to local (Washington DC) USCIS office (Fairfax). We got our passports stamped without any problem.

Have you checked with the local congressman's office to see if they can help ?

I got an Infopass appt.for yesterday and they checked my status on the computerand told me that my approval was enetered to the USCIS data base on May 15,2006 and told me that i would receive the card in the mail very shortly.But no stamp.
 
My Wife interview was scheduled in D.C. local office today but she missed it. However she got appointment today through infopass for June 22nd. Is it ok to wait for June 22nd or should I call them or write them to rescheduled it or walk in since date has already been passed.

Please help, if any one knows about it.
