Out of Country on Citizenship Interview Date -- Options?

Gurus: My Wife got her Citiznship Interview notice today in mail. She will be out of Country on that day and will be coming back on Aug20th . Her bad luck is that she missed the date by 6 days . He interview date is on Aug 14.

My question is what are my options:

1) Reschedule the inetrview
2) Prepone the interview as she is departing on Aug 4th.
3) Can a senator help in this case?
4) Can I take an infopass appointment and try to talk to an Immigration Officer for taking the interview before her departure date?

If I miss the date and send a letter to postpone the date and she travels out of country will it impact her application for a possible dealy? Name check etc again?

Please suggest the best course of action that I can take in this case?

Thanks for your reply. Can you please tell me the procedure or route me to a URL with info for rescheduling the interview? I am unable to get an infopass appt at my local office. Do I need to send the request to the USCIS office at NBC or go to local office at Baltiomore to request a reschedule.
