on B1 visa to H-1 visa

i am currently on B1 Visa and will expire on july 1, 2008 but my employer filed for my h-1 on april 1, 2008 and was luckily included and accepted in the lottery and was given a receipt number. My question is will i be out of status from July 1 until my hI approvalis being issued?

Assuming your H-1B is a new (not change of status) application, you must depart the US once the B-1 visa expires.
