Interim EAD

opgc,
I got Interim EAD on 5th March 2004 at Newark NJ. You can just walk in, but make sure you be there early. I went there at 5.30 a.m and stood in the queue. There were 40 people ahead of us. I got the IEAD for 8 months. You need to carry the following documents:
Copy of EAD and 485 receipts .
Passport.
Proof of address.
You need to fill a copy of 765 form (they will provide you that form).

Hi everybody,

I have been off and on visitor to this forum, Thanks for everybody thoughts and experiences.

I have a question, if someone has any idea as how to handle :

Situation:
--------------
I am getting my 6 year term over by April first week,2004. Labor is approved. 140/485/EAD are expected to be filed by March 20th,2004. I have also applied for 2 months extension in Nov., for the time spent outside USA, still waiting for any reply for that.

Question:
--------------
My driver's license is expiring by the first week of April, issued based on Visa last date.
DMV has their only calculation that they will issue the Drivers' license extention based on visa extension applied in Nov'03 plus 150 days(waiting time period given by INS). This gives me 2 weeks of license from current license expiration (That means max. 3rd week of April) and after that nothing.

So donot know what to do ?

Anyone has any idea, if someone has done something different or heard of anything .. Please ....

YOu can go and get one month extension from DMV

ot take the 485 reciepts and get for another 6 months

Well so far my 485 has not been submitted.

But otherewise are you positive that issue 6 months license based on 485 receipt. Is there any website to confirm this too so that I can refer to while talking to DMV.

I also spoke to DMV, those guys seem quite tough.

FP Notice

Folks,

Does anyone know as to when we would be getting our Finger Printing Notice from VSC. I don’t see any FP notice for our thread . I was wondering as to how long it would take to get FP notice once we file for 485 .

DMV extension

also you can get a one month extension based on the fact that your H1 hasnt been approved yet.
 
Folks ,

I had another question , After your EAD approval approximately how many days does it take to get the actually card . Also , do we get the card directly or does it go to the Lawyer before we get it .

Question about I140

Hi guys,

I tried to search the forums for answers to some of the questions below but could not find relevant info.

1 - Any idea what happens to the I-140 app if the sponsoring company is bought out by another company ?

2 - What happens to 140 if the sponsoring company goes out of business after 6 months of applying for 485?

For those of you who had their EAD approved after EAD RFE:

My wife's EAD RFE response was received by the service center on Feb. 25 (ND 10/21/03). Based on your experience, when do you think we can expect a decision on her EAD application?
