But I thought the dates are still in the first week or September.
I know just a coupla cases from October have been approved.......
So, does this mean they started processing October?

Actually it is news to me that they are even processing September--because the website only shows that they are processing April/May. When I called INS, they reiterated the same and indicated that I have to wait for another 6 months.
If they are indeed processing Sept, it is good news to all of us.

NSC is processing cases from number of months, it seems, June, Jul, Aug, Sep and lately a few good surprises for october cases...
