Hi Rajiv, the 245(i) bubble is so unfair - is their an official way out

Hi Rajiv,

is it possible for the association of lawyers to ask DOL to put the
245 (i) apllications in a separate queue, or sth of that sort.
I think many people would be ready to sign a petition for that.
it\'s really unfair to make us wait 2 years more or so.
DOL should provide the appropriate infrastructure to handle this new law, like hiring more people to process, or handling it separatly in a way that does not affect the normal applications.

I mean is it fair to have the following type of situation : 2 guys file the LCs with 1 day of difference, but they get the approvals with TWO YEARS of gap ! come on, it\'s ridiculous!

While Scanning through all the posts including archives some interesting things are seen. Zambia post dated 8/7/01 shows filed 2/22/01 , approved 6/22/01. Does it mean that March applications
are being processed from last 6-7 months. Another aspect California
is processing June 2001 applications. they are through with thing
called 245i.How come NY is lagging so far behind
 
because most illegal immigrants are applying in NY.

DOL says RIR will take about 10-12 months. That\'s it.
Just hope they will not stretch it to 20-24 months. Amen.

i don\'t think 245i process will effect RIR processing, ca sesa also have 245i cases more than newyork
california sesa, they are processing july or june cases.
and also amy be the most of the 245i cases filed under regular processing.
 any comments please..

Hey! They rejected me and said I should put an advt in the newspaper to prove that there are really aren\'t any qualified people out there!

My guess: Since the current case date is close to 245i deadline,
they are checking more strictly now for prevending any fraud cases.
However, how did you make the ads?

It seems NY SESA are nitpicking every LC case.
Not only tardy, but also tough. We are having a bad
dream. But the dream is still not over yet, right?

The Labor applied in March last week i think on march 28, 2001 was approved yesterday. I got the following msg from the email system.

               joey y, u have applied in end of march too? right? please post if u hear anything,bv aplied end of march, or his priority date was end of march? havent heard anything so far. i have filed also march 31st. keeping my fingers crossed.

hi, called the attorney today, said he recieved couple of april end app. so hopefully, they r processing april applications.
 but i\'m still waiting.hope to get some reply soon.

It is weird. Yesterday in one of the NY threads someone mentioned
as April beginning and now it is April end. Some Of the March guys
are still waiting. What\'s going on

i too am march person, i filled march 31st, but i think the processing goes according to the reciept date, my reciept date was 26th april, so i fall under april end, though my application was sent march end,so if april begining is being processed, i have a whole mth to go, before my app. gets processed, at least i think its this way.
 
attorney update

My attorney also had mentioned that SESA is classifying cases according to occupation - Software cases where a lot of lay-offs have occured is an area where SESA is going slow!
 
SESA - delays due to 245??

Do you guys realise - that California with a large 245 filing like NY and a weaker state economy is processing June 22 entries! I wonder why there is so much delay in NY SESA?
