Hi Everyone

Thanks for the help everyone. I finally got my oath letter today!!! Below is my timeline if it helps anyone. It took me almost 2 years!!!


Received Date: Nov 08, 2002
Priority Date: Nov 08, 2002
Fingerprinting Notice Date: Nov 27, 2002
Fingerprinting: Dec 18, 2003
Interview Notice Date: September 10, 2003
Interview on: January 08, 2004
Second Fingerprinting Notice Date: July 2004
Second Fingerprinting on: August 11, 2004
OATH Ceremony: September 17, 2004
 
2 years sounds like a long time. But once you reach the destination, the delay in journey seems trivial. Best wishes in your new life, and do be a responsible citizen.

Congratulations! Why you had to wait so long for the oath? Did you have any common name or were you delayed for name check? Did you get any help (like congressman or senator etc.)?
Please write your experience here. I think there are lot of people who are waiting for the Oath in NY district. Thanks and Congratulations again.

Hi hm11

I did not contact any politicians. I did call the 800 number and did a status inquiry 3 times. You can initiate an inquiry after every 30 days if you don't receive a reply.

Thant's about it.
