We've received three NOAs!!!

Hey guys!

Check it out! We have received three NOAs!!! Now what is next? I guess fingerprinting and digital photo taking. We've got that part, but after that what happens, any comments on this? Tomorrow is my last day at work until we receive the renewed EAD  Fortunately, my company wants me back, and we're OK without my pay-check.

Afte you receive your EAD you will have to wait for your Interview letter. The waiting time depends on your local DO. Mine is about 1.5 years since my DO is slow.
Don't get mad that you have to stop working. Its summer time enjoy your days off.

FP and BIOMETRICS

Today was my first day not working!!! Little bored, but I shall get better dealing with all this free time. I have an appointment for fingerprints and biometrics for JULY 27th!!! Little late but we'll wait...

So far seen on the forum, EAD usually takes 2 months. If your FP appt is on 7/27, you may want to try walk in with an infopass. Some DOs will accept it. May worth a shot. That's what I am planning to do.

Hey Pondicherry,
I'm tryiung to get an appointment with infopass, but that thing so not userfriendly!!! I heard something this should be something worth to search for: I heard there is a law protecting spouses of US citizens when they are working illegaly!!! That is between EADs. Nevertheless, I have been looking all over the place for this piece of information, but no avail as of now. It's worth searching, this whole thing, sitting at home waiting for an extention on EAD, does not make sense at all anyway.

Cheers.

It is unfortunate that you have to wait but try to take advantage of it. You are so close from getting there, I would not do anything illegal. If I were you I will do what "good mannc" did.
Wait for 60 days, if no EAD, get a letter from you job saying your job could be in jeopady if EAD delayed. Go to DO, most officers will help, if it is within their capacity. You have nothing to lose.
And read what "Montanagriz" posted, the overall process for EAD may not be affected whether you get your FP done right away or a month later.
Regardless, try the infopass route.
It is hard, but in a grand scheme of things, it is still worth it. Next year, this time, you will be a free man (or woman)!

Pondicherry~ I sure do want to do the right thing since I have never been out of status nor do I have done anything unlawful. Nevertheless, this waiting time [I don't really care how long does it take to get conditional or permanent residence since I didn't marry my "wife" for the opportunities she will bring my life] does not really make sense for me. My job is about projeect funded by US Government-including troops in IRAQ and for sure even last two days my absence caused many problems already, not to mention this will continue for next 90 days for some lame reasons that I do not seriously understand. However, of course, as usual, with all respect to laws, I will be waiting for my turn! Infopass on the other hand, you are right, it is worth trying-so willl I.

Cheers.

Joining this thread

Hello there,

I opened new thread for applicants who applied after may 20th. Well since now this thread already exists I would like to join in with more users and since your timelines are pretty close to mine

Well heres something about me:
F-1 married to USC
AOS packet sent to Chicago Lockbox 05/21/05
AOS received 05/23/05
Checks cashed 06/16/05
Received NOA for I-130 06/16/05

With the receipt number I tried to check the online status, but says "Validation error" . Is that the same experience you guys had the first time you checked the status online?

Careful, for FP you need to go to the local ASC, which is not necessarily the same office as the local DO. Infopass appointments can only be made with the local DO. To get an ASC appointment you need to call the 800 # on your NOA. (I am slowly becoming an expert at this  )

Not a problem, sir! We have to help each other. I learnt so much from the forum as well.

Hey Just Married,

How about other NOAs, why did you only receive NOA for I-130? Where are you at? We're located in Alexandria, VA
