It's as expected.
However, the CSC cannot move it to FEBRUAY 2002 for a couple of months with the current processing speed.

30rd Jan mean the oldest case being processed (assigned to the officer ). If you are Feb 7, you should expect something within next couple of weeks.

Hmmm... it's 01/09/02 in the 3/15 report, so it advanced 21 days in one month period. Not really speeding up or catching up, and nobody knows whether they will freeze again or not. But at least it moved.

I will not be optimistic un till I see a few more reports of advancement.

Yes it is really a good news but hold on. Don’t start building bridges so fast.

Still lot of time for February cases to be touched. As per the following stats., there are still plenty of Jan cases to be touched and the present concentration also shows lot of importance to Jan cases(151 new cases of Jan compared to 26 new cases in Feb)

month - total - approved - - transferred - - RFE - Processed - Pending – new cases

01/02 - 2807 – 0265 (0204) – 255 (237) – 573 (501) – 1093 (0942) – 1714 (1865) - 151
02/02 - 2768 – 0206 (0196) – 149 (135) – 029 (027) – 0384 (0358) – 2384 (2410) - 26

Yes so close yet so far…..

Well atleast the damn JIT moved some, I remember the old JITS wouldn't move for months, this one seems to have moved fast enough.

As Kashmir put it, don't expect the JIT to move into Feb for atleast 2-3 months if you are optimistic.

Though I expect quick relief for the cases in the first week of FEB since they will have been bought from the warehouse ready to be dispersed to various case officers and some of them will be approved concurent to the Jan cases.

What does "Processed" mean ?

I still remember the time when INS cleared 3 years of backlog pretty quickly and brought down 485 processing to 1-3 months. I have couple of lucky friend who got 485 approved in 1 month. Irony is that their lobar was filed much later than mine.

Trying not to be too pessimistic, but I would guess that part of the reason that the JIT jumped as much as it did is that Dec 01 had relatively few applications. For those of us with receipt dates after the March/April 02 spike in application submissions, I would say that the jury is still out on whether or not we might benefit from this “apparent” surge in CSC productivity. See gettingclosernow’s graph for a good picture of what I mean.

I hope it gets better!
Gurus..what's the benifit, if any, once your RD becomes older than JIT date?

Some time back I posted a guess on how USCIS is going to
go fast and process cases very fast now and move the JIT
very quickly to July so that they catch up with the concurrent
processing application.

Ofcourse people like Kashmir ridiculed and laughed at me. So
now what happens? It took the USCIS about 7 months to move
jit from 12/16 to 1/9. And now it took what, couple of weeks to
move it to 1/30?

My guess is that they will get to July in few months and I will
stick with it. That is the only way they can do justice to old
applications and not have their ass kicked.
