I am self funded J1 exchange student who get accepted master program. However, my J1 has 2 year residence requirement because my major is in my country's skill list. The International office in my university suggest me to apply for F1 abroad. I just wondered whether I can apply for F1 from Canada or Mexico now because it takes too long to go back and get interview! Do you think it is possible that I could get my F1 since I apply for non-immigration visa? I'd appreciate it very much for your consideration and reply!
