My wife is a derivative from my Green card and her card mentions her as a permanent resident since 12/99 i.e the date I applied for labour whereas my GC states that I am a permanent resident since 10/02 i.e the date my GC was approved. Now, do I have to have my wife's details corrected or can she file for her citizenship in Nov'04.

You should have her details corrected. My guess is that USCIS will most probably realize the mistake when she files for her N-400 application.

I agree, there was a post earlier about someone who applied for their Natz due to a wrong GC date. They passed their interview but were denied oath...... Get details corrected
