N400- waiting for rescheduled Biometric appointment

We got the biometrics appointment after filing N 400 in March but due to covid the uscis centers closed before our appointment. Now it has been almost 4 months and even after repeated requests to uscis to reschedule they are providing standard answer that they will reschedule the biometric appointment later and send us confirmation but nothing so far.

If uscis centers are open can we take the Appointment ourselves at local uscis center in Phoenix- Arizona and carry old appointment letter for biometrics or do we need to wait for USCIS send us new appointment letter for biometric.
