...back in 2005, I was on a J-1 visa and visited family abroad. During the trip I realized I didn't have the supplementary paperwork for my visa. Upon returning to the U.S. without this paperwork, I was subjected to secondary questioning. After it was confirmed all was satisfactory (my in-laws (they weren't at the time) had the paperwork in arrivals), I was permitted to enter without issue.
My question - would the above scenario constitute a 'yes' and explanation to part 12, question 23:
Have you ever been arrested, cited, or detained by any law enforcement officer (including any immigration official or any official of the U.S. armed forces) for any reason?
