I will be eligible to file for N-400 in a couple of months. I have resided in the US continuously since I became a LPR except for maybe 3 weeks.
I am being offered a position by a US company to work in India. My questions are
1) Can I file N-400 when I am eligible, then work in India for a year (or year and half)? I will make a trip to the US before 6 months stay completes in India for a few weeks and then go back for a few more months.
2) Will filing for reentry permit/N-470 help? How difficult is it to obtain these?
I plan to reside in the US after naturalization.
