Is it ok to give friends address for communication on N-400 application?

As I lost job and looking for new job there may be chance of travelling out of state.
So we are planning to give friends address for notifications, though we are keeping our residence same. is it ok?
Please advice.

It's ok to use friend's address as mailing address, but not as your physical address (unless of course you are actually living with friend).
