Most jobs require citizenship???!!!!

Hi,

I am two years after the green card approval and three
before I can apply for citizenship, accordingly. Looking
for another job, I discovered that many high tech jobs
now require US citizenship AT LEAST!!! - before Bush there
was no such requirement for the very same jobs. Now, I am
unable to get a job in my area - I get responses literally -
your resume is great, but we need a US citizen!!! And
I cannot become one for 3-4 years more! This looks like a blocking discrimination to me! I am sure I am not alone in this situation - should we do anything? Can something be done? Should we raise the subject, even ligally? Or should we keep our mouths shut in fear of todays environment? - this is America?

Thanks for the advise, but if you to sue someone,
you have got to start from the very top where it started.
After all, companies' executives are just bootlickers trying to
go with the flow. America is under attack! - don't you know?
This requires TOTAL security! - even if it means less freedom!
They are trying to protect us! - we should be thankful!
Plenty of laws have been broken since September 11.
 
A very good friend of mine is in charge of certain hiring of a high tech position, which officially required (still does) only a green card. Lately, I applied and he told me I am the best and I will have no problems getting the position. Only a month later he told me he was advised from "the top" that "they" prefer US citizens. My friend is genuinely sorry - should I sue him?
 
BTW, I did ask several companies they require citizenship and just that - I received no reply. Should I start a holy quest of
suing all around? Will you guys help and join me?
 
Do not be ridiculous! In this country, one never gets rejected,
especially "because of that" - otherwise everyone would sue.
You just do not get hired - do they have to give you an explanation why? And there are always plenty of neutral explanations. I found this just because of my friend.
