Medical 485 expiry

For 485 processing , I did my medical with INS authorized doctor back in Oct 2003.
I havent even got FP yet

When will my medicals expire?

Should I get a medical done again?

Any thoughts on this issue

Medical never expires. Don't worry. Unless USCIS finds some extraordinary medical results (saw somewhere in the forum), they wont ask you to do medical again.

Recently I got a RFE for expired medicals so I resubmitted my medicals again.

I spoke to the officer (transferred by cust serv rep), and he is not even aware of it, though I have given all the details of the memo. Rather he advised that it would be better for me to resubmit again.

But due to long processing times for 485, 2 memo's were issued :

I am getting conflicting views on Medical Expiry. Some say it does. Some ppl say it doesn;t

They do. However, an extension till Jan 05 has been given to all filers due to the delays in processing. After that things will depend on USCIS decision at that point.

USCIS decides on this every year. At this time, as long as 485 is pending, Medical will not expire until 1/2005. Beyond 2005, it is unclear. Chances are that USICS may extend the deadline, but one cannot be sure.
 
Could somebody explain the new memo which came out today about the extension of medical exam. The expiration date is extended to january 2006 but it says it is for concurrent filers. How about for people who filed their I140 and I485 before the concurrent filling was allowed??.
