Marrying F1 student

Hi,
I recently became US Citizen, my fiancee is studying in F1 visa, if I marry her what would be her visa status? how long it would take to get her greencard ?
can i marry her in India or should I marry her in US ?

If you marry her, her visa status would be still F1 unless you haven't file I-130 and I-485 for her. If you file I-130 for her, her status will still be F1 until I-485 is filed. Filing I-485 will change her status to AOS status. There is no waiting period if you marry her as a US citizen. There will be 2 years conditions if you marry her.

You can marry her in USA (it is better because marriage certificate in usa would be acceptable. If you want to marry her in India, you will need to translate marriage certificate unless it is written in English --give you headaches)
