Hello!
Can someone enlighten whats the difference between Parmanent Resident Alien and Lawful Permanent Resident?

If we got Green Card through Asylum, would we be called LPR or PRA?

May be Jackisback or Alenpero can explain as they have already gotten their GC

Thanks

Gilbert is correct: both terms apply to I-551. LPR is a more offical term that is frequently used in BCIS documents. Where and when each term is used is purely for rhetorical reasons. The term "Alien" is applied when they want to contrast or distinguish us from US Citizens. Basically anyone who isn't a US citizen is considered an "alien."
Don't worry about it, the difference is really just rhetorics.
