I need an urgent advise for my wife who is currently on H4 visa.
She got an offer today for medical assistant/lab technician type of position and needs to start ASAP. I think job offers very less money than the previlage wage.
1. Can she apply H1b?
2. Whats the minimum salary requirements for this profession? Where can I find statistics?
3. How soon can she start?
I would really appreciate your help on this.

3. Only after approval of the H visa. Can opt for premium processing (additional fee of 1000$ for a 15 day turnaround). She also needs a LCA first (takes few days for online submission and approval). In some cases an educational evaluation might also be required( add few more days) to get LCA approval.

I am getting a very mixed response for Q1) if a medical asst can apply for H1b? I found following info about the job on stae govt site. But I dont see minimum "job requirements" for it. People say that if a job requires bachelors degree only then one can apply for H1b.

1. Is it true?
2. Does anyone know how to find INS specified "job requirements"?
