I applied for AOS (I-485) on september 2000. Then on October 28, 2001 I was laid off. I was on EAD/Advance parole when I was laid off.
However, on Oct 18, 2001, my case was transferred from VT to NY to conduct an Interview. This is what a VT officer told me. But I haven't heard anything about the interview date. So what should I do?
Should I find a job first and then call INS without fear of an early interview or should I just call now and tell them I was laid off and hopefully they'll give me the green card by understanding the tough economy?.
I know I should find a job first but the IT field is impossible to find a job in. I could only open my own business and work in a similar area. But before I invest a lot of mony in eBusuness just to get the Green Card I want to see your responses.
Thanks
