My brother applied for change of status from L1B to H1B thru company A and company B.Both of them got approved - Company A in july and Company B in August. Both of them are valid from October 1. He joined Company B and now wants to a switch to Company A.Can he start working for Company A? The company A petition is not cancelled. Does he need to transfer H1 from company B to Company A?

Sorry, I dont have an answer to your question but I have some questions for you.

My friend is trying to shift from L1 to H1. What is the best time/way to go about it?

Do companies wait for the 7 months between April to October? Because I guess they have to apply for the H visa in April and then wait till October for visa approval to come thru. How did your brother go about it?

Can you give me the names of the two companies which did the L-H conversion for your brother (if it is in the software field)?
