I am currently on L1B visa and the visa extension is in process. My visa expired in June 2015 and I94 expired in Early August 2015.
I have a cap-exempt h1b from my current employer which was used from 2009 to 2010.
Now, my current employer wants to change my status to H1B (cap exempt). I have two questions:
1. When my current employer, who is processing my L1B extension, apply for the H1B change of status, what happens to the L1B extension that is in process?
2. In case the H1B change of status gets rejected, will the L1B extension still continue? Or will I have to leave the country immediately?
