I am not Indian, but I am very curious in knowing an answer to this question. In another thread, long time ago, I asked whether US notifies foreign governments about granting US citizenships to people who become naturalized. The answer to that question was "NO".
I know that India does not recognize dual citizenship, but what if somebody simply wanted to become US citizen and never tell India that they have done so? How can they learn? Is there actually people people who do it this way?
Now, substitute India with any country that doesn't recognize dual citizenship (China for example)...
